OCR, ADVENTURE RACING, MOUNTAIN
AND ULTRA RUNNING ALL IN ONE

In September 2021, 45 participants representing 26 different countries from around the world came together for 12 days on an adventure and experience of a life time. It’s an endurance challenge, that had never been done before and has now become a World’s First with other global events now being planned for 2023 and beyond!

The Team set off on a three phase approach of ascending on the Machame route to Uhuru Peak at 5,895m – phase 1, to then descend into the crater and attempt 10 obstacles over a 100m distance at 5,755m – phase 2 and to then start phase 3 which saw competitors either trek down or for those competing in the ALTITUDE OCR World Championships, run down over a two day speed descent.
